Real conversations

Real transcripts from Coach Carl.

Getting started

How it works

You'll be talking to Carl in about two minutes. No forms, no onboarding maze.

STEP 1

Say hi.

Start your trial and Carl introduces himself on Telegram and asks what you're training for.

STEP 2

Connect your watch.

Strava or Garmin, one tap. Carl sees your runs the moment they happen. No manual logging.

STEP 3

Just run.

Carl checks in after every workout: how it felt, what's next. He plans your week and adjusts when life happens.

Your options, honestly

What else is out there

We're biased, so judge the categories for yourself.

A human coach

$200 to $500 a month, a 24-to-48-hour reply window, and vacations. A great one is worth every penny, if you can get one.

On your own, or a static plan

The plan doesn't know you slept badly or that your ankle is barking. So you guess, overtrain, get hurt, and restart. That cycle is where running goals go to die.

Most AI coaching

No context. It says "great job, keep going" because it can't hear the warning signs.

No new app, either way

Carl lives in Telegram, the messaging app. One more contact, not one more login.

Always-on.

Coach Carl: $29 a month. Answers in seconds, 3am included, and coaches from the combined playbook of the best coaches out there. His check-ins and conversation are the context: he catches what a widget can't.

The doctrine

How Carl coaches

Don't get hurt.

The best training plan is the one you're healthy enough to follow next month. Carl watches load, listens when something's sore, and would rather adjust a week than lose a season.

Consistency beats intensity.

Big engines are built by showing up, not by hero workouts. Carl coaches the long game.

Strength and cross-training count.

Bike rides, gym sessions, long walks: they're training, not footnotes, and Carl treats them that way.

Your life comes first.

Built for busy adults: parents, professionals, people whose calendar fights back. Kids, work, travel, a rough night's sleep. Weeks move around. Carl works with your life, not against it.

"If a week goes sideways, that's fine. Stuff moves. We work with your life, not against it." Carl

An honest fit check

Is Carl for you?

Carl is for you if

  • You're a busy adult: a parent, a professional, someone whose calendar fights back.
  • You've been through the injury-restart cycle and want off.
  • You want a coach, not a leaderboard.
  • You'll actually talk to him: a coach can only coach what he can hear.

Carl isn't for you if

  • You're racing at an elite level and need track-level periodization with a human at the finish line.
  • You won't connect a watch or tell him about your runs: give a coach nothing and he's just a plan.
  • You want a six-week shortcut. Carl plays the long game.

One plan. Everything included.

$29/month

After a 7-day free trial. Coaching, weekly plans, post-run check-ins, injury watch, all of it. Cancel anytime, no hard feelings.

Questions

Answered honestly

What exactly is Coach Carl?

An AI coach built by Jeremy Singh, a runner and coach. I built him to coach the way I coach: listen first, protect the athlete, play the long game. He talks with you on Telegram like a coach would, because that's what he is.

Is this a training plan generator?

No. Carl writes your weekly plan, but the plan is the least of it. The product is the conversation: the check-in after a rough run, the adjustment when your week explodes, the question about that ankle you mentioned twice.

What does Carl actually see?

The activities you sync from Strava or Garmin, and what you tell him. That's it. Your data is used to coach you, never sold.

Do I need a watch?

No. Carl works best connected (Strava or Garmin, one tap), but tell him in plain words ("did another bike today, 30 min") and he'll track it.

Can I really cancel anytime?

Yes. From the link in your receipt, or just tell Carl. If you cancel during the trial you won't be charged at all.

What if I'm a beginner? What if I'm injured?

Carl meets you where you are. I built him to start you too easy rather than too hard, and if something hurts, the plan bends around it. He's not a doctor and won't pretend to be one; he'll tell you when something needs a human professional.

Your next run could have a coach watching.
